Meet Erin.

Erin Gallagher
Erin Gallagher is a brand-management strategist who serves clients as a community liaison.

Before returning home to Illinois in 2008, Erin was the managing partner of an international advertising and public relations firm with offices in Columbus, Ohio and Bologna, Italy.  Though her industry experience ranges from educational publishers, to manufacturers, to a National Hockey League team, her niche hovered primarily in the areas of land development, building and high-end real estate.

After selling her firm, Erin returned to Illinois to shore up advanced education in finance before joining the campaign to re-elect then State Senator A.J. Wilhelmi. Her role involved all aspects of event planning, website building,  logo and brand development and community outreach – working on both sides of the aisle.

For the next six years, while Erin started a family, she stepped away from consulting to grow a successful career as a freelance reporter. Her stories involving Coal City tornadoes and Monee politics landed her multiple bylines on the front page of the Chicago Tribune.

While early days reporting fueled her need to talk to adults after attending to babies and toddlers, Erin quickly realized the wealth of information she gained interviewing impressive community leaders – and some, not so much.

Both her days working directly with state and local politicians, as well as earning a solid reputation for fairness and accuracy as a reporter, Erin developed enduring relationships with community leaders and elected officials based on respect.

Erin grew up in Will County, and lived a couple years off the I-55 Lorenzo Road exit in Grundy County. A Joliet Central Steelman, she studied journalism at the University of Iowa. While a student at Marquette University, she studied the art of political communications taught by George Reedy, former press secretary to President Lyndon B. Johnson.

Her intrepid approach to life has been well earned. At age 15, she attended Gormanston College, in County Meath, Ireland, followed by extended stays in Northern Ireland during the height of British occupation – giving her an opportunity to witness terrorism from her bedroom window.

Seemingly always on wheels, by age 30, Erin drove a stick shift from Rome to Paris through Mont Blanc, stumbling through conversational French and Italian (often simultaneously). She quickly realized she does not speak kilometers.

Always willing to learn something new, Erin passed both the Series 6, and then the Series 7, becoming a full-fledged stockbroker. Even though that was never her career goal, she aspired to have a working knowledge of municipal finance funding.

She also successfully completed a week-long Situational Leadership Conference in Wimbledon, England, presented by the "One Minute Manager" author, Ken Blanchard Companies.

She has been an active member and sometimes lobbyist of the Will County Farm Bureau, and served two years in a voluntary capacity on an Illinois Farm Bureau advisory board.

Erin has also started and re-jump-started multiple county-wide fundraising events in volunteer capacities.

Her stellar time management skills, commitment to a balanced life and aspirations for genuine happiness allow Erin to remain a work-from-home mom while volunteering at school. Her favorite times are spent in conversations with family and friends over a great meal.

She has developed a team of professionals who add to projects as-needed offering fully-loaded services.

Her personality is forthright, transparent and committed.

And fun.
